Recently one of our larger competitors phoned around our retail product suppliers, with the intention of under-cutting us on our full range of these products into butchers, thus swooping in to take the business we had took the risk to introduce to the market and build up from nothing. However only one of our suppliers took up their offer, which in my opinion was a silly thing to do, diluting the business.
It did get me wondering though; is it a compliment to TPS that such a large player in our field should “follow” the little guy and copy what they do, and not the other way around?.
It tells me that they now lack ideas and creativity, and have resorted to scrabbling around nicking ideas?… Or is that what business is all about?
TPS will continue to be inventive, fresh and new, as we are not a faceless company that cares only for the “sale”.. We understand that growth comes through relationships & personal service with our customers, not copy-catting…
